In-vessel composting systems offer a safe, high quality solution to the recycling and composting of mixed municipal solid waste (MSW) and other organic wastes. These systems have been developed over many years to meet exacting environmental standards.
In regions where compost from mixed waste materials is permitted for agricultural use, the in-vessel composting of mixed waste easily sorts biodegradable materials from non-biodegradables like plastics and metals and produces raw compost ready for maturation, final screening and agricultural use. Compost adds much more to the land than just macro and micro-nutrients, it also adds soil organic content (SOC) which is in dwindling supply due to intensive chemical farming techniques. Increased SOC improves moisture retention, crumb structure, reduces erosion and helps improve yields with or without fertilisers.
